Abstract

Hadiprodjo, Kevin Reinaldo The Analysis of Plot Magi: Sinbad no Bouken. Semarang: English Department, Faculty of Language and Arts Soegijapranata Catholic University, 2021. The object of this study is an anime entitled Magi: Sinbad no Bouken. It is the third anime adaptation from Magi series Labyrinth of Magic and Kingdom of Magic. This is also a prequel of the stories, when the stories is a spin-off about Sinbad. The anime was first aired in 2016. There is one objective to this study. It is to find and determine the plot of the anime. But we will do it by watch three episodes of the anime. The first epsiode is Child of Destiny. The second episode is Sinbad the Sailor. The third episode is Dungeon Baal. The research method applied in this study is library research which the primary source is an anime entitled Magi: Sinbad no Bouken. The secondary sources are taken from the anime, by seeing the episodes that mention above and take note to determine which one is the exposition, which one is the rising action, which one is the climax, which one is the falling action, and which one is the conclusion. This study is conducted to find out about the plot of Magi: Sinbad no Bouken. This study also to help the anime lovers especially their who loved the Magi series to understand better in the story of Sinbad no Bouken about what exactly happen, and also about the true meaning behind the stories. To find the results, the researcher use a qualitative data collection method. In order to gain the better results, the researcher also watch the anime. The episodes that will be analyse is the first until third episode of the series
