Abstract

Pektin merupakan salah satu bahan alam yang berpotensi sebagai biosorben logam berat. Logam berat merupakan unsur yang membahayakan kesehatan manusia. Salah satu contoh logam berat adalah kadmium dan tembaga, di mana logam tersebut mempunyai potensi pengaruh ganda (multiple effects) pada manusia. Pektin biasanya didapatkan dari buah seperti sirsat.
