Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of existence management control system to proactive work behavior in Semarang companies. This study replicates Burkert et al. (2016) with the same research sample and adding external variables that show that the results of a study are valid which can be generalized to all different objects, situations and times. The initial research sample used was manager worked at United States companies. This research sample uses managers work at Semarang manufacturing companies. The data analysis technique is linear regression and Sobel Test. The result is flexible role orientation can mediate the relationship between lack of controllability and proactive work behavior.
