Abstract

Fast fashion industry has a lot of negative impacts for the environment and labors. One of the fast fashion brand can produce 24 to 42 new clothing collections in a year. The use of fast fashion products is only two to three times after purchase. This causes the accumulation of clothing waste and increases the consumer culture in adolescents. Therefore, there is a need for education and an invitation for teenagers to switch to slow fashion with Berkain, through visual communication media in the form of videography and containing narration. Slow fashion itself is a concept that prioritizes quality, product durability, ethics and environmentally friendly. Berkain is a movement to use Indonesian fabrics in everyday life. In addition to reducing purchases of fast fashion products, this movement can also bring back old culture to be present in today's modern era.
