Abstract

This research belongs to literary study especially where narrative genre is concerned. The purpose of this research is to describe the characters in the Korean drama "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart." The method used in this study is qualitative. The data analyzed in this study are text and pictures, not numbers. The search results are 1) Major characters and minor characters: (a) The major characters of the play are Ha Jin / Hae Soo, Wang So, and Wang Wook. (b) The minor characters in the play are Wang Eun, Baek Ah and Wang Jung, Wang Yo and Wang Won. 2) Round and flat characters: (a) The character who has a round character is Wang So, the main character in this drama, because he undergoes changes from a cruel and fearless man to a caring and loving person. Others characters are flat characters because their personality and behavior do not change along the drama
