Abstract

Cabai merah merupakan tanaman perdu dari famili terung-terungan(salanaceae) yang berasal dari kawasan tropis dan subtropis.Cabai merah mempunyai nilai ekonomi yang cukup tinggi dan sering digunakan hampir sebagian besar masakan indonesia.Kerusakan cabai dapat terjadi selama pra dan pascapanen. Waktu terjadinya kerusakan cabai merupakan variabel menarik, selama hal itu sesuai dengan konsep mutu kegagalan dalam analisis survival/realibility . Subyek penelitian ini adalah cabai teropong yang disimpan pada empat perlakuan pengemasan dan dua kondisi penyimpanan.
