Abstract
This research aims to acknowledge and understand on how resilience efforts are carried out by married couples in the cooling-off phase as a method to resolve conflict in a family. This research is a qualitative research, using semi-structurized interview and observation data acquition. The subject on this research consist of 3 couples of husband and wife, with 28, 25, and 20 of marriage age. Research result indicates that the efforts of resilience can be done by husband and wife in cooling-off fase with conditioned patience, courage to face the reality, and make some rules in the family. This forms of resilience is done when all of the subjects faced with personal conflict (themself) or interpersonal conflict (some marriage related things). The result of this research showed that the resilience efforts can be done by the 3 couple in cooling-off fase in particular situation that is the commitment on the early stage of marriage, the power of living life today, and has a same vision for the ideal family in the days to come.
