This study aimed to examine the relationships between teachers’ pedagogical competence, The Big Five Personality Traits (Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness) and Mathematics academic achievement among secondary students. The hypotheses of this study: 1) there is a relationship between teachers’ pedagogical competence, The Big Five Personality Traits and Mathematics academic achievement among secondary students; 2) there is a positive relationship between teachers’ pedagogical competence and Mathematics academic achievement; 3) there is a negative relationship between Extraversion and Mathematics academic achievement; 4) there is a negative relationship between Agreeableness and Mathematics academic achievement; 5) there is a positive relationship between Conscientiousness and Mathematics academic achievement; 6) there is a negative relationship between Neuroticism and Mathematics academic achievement; 7) there is a positive relationship between Openness and Mathematics academic achievement. Seventy-three of eleventh-grader of SMAN 4 Semarang were participated in this study. The current research employed cluster random sampling and selecting the participants. This study used scale of teachers’ pedagogical competence and The Big Five Inventory. Statistical analyses showed that teachers’ pedagogical competence and The Big Five Personality Traits predicted Mathematics academic achievement significantly (R=0,441; F= 2,651; p<0,05). Correlation analysis revealed that teachers’ pedagogical competence accounted for Mathematics academic achievement among secondary students (rX1y= 0,292; p<0,05). The relationships between each of The Big Five Personality Traits with Mathematics academic achievement were not supported. These five minor hypotheses results showed that there were no relationship between each of The Big Five Personality Traits and secondary students’ Mathematics academic achievement. Keywords: Mathematics academic achievement, teachers’ pedagogical competence, The Big Five Personality Traits
