Abstract

The growth of cafes from time to time is increasingly prevalent, now cafes do not only speak Indonesian but there are also many which use English. English café considered normal in a big city, but it is not for a small town, where Indonesian and local languages have become a culture there and English is a non-dominant language. In this era many people open English-language cafes. Consumer perception in this case is an interesting topic because the English-language menu is a rare thing in Pekalongan, the small town where the café is located. This study uses quantitative methods with closed question methods. The results show that the community had postive perception on menu written in English
