Abstract
Public transportation is examined based on the criteria of services provided to users of public transportation services aimed at growing the economy and increasing activities in the community. Public transportation can also be a solution to overcome transportation problems in Indonesia, such as congestion which can disrupt traffic flow, especially in the city of Semarang. Lack of public interest in using existing public transportation can cause congestion, which can disrupt traffic flow. One of the efforts created by the Semarang City Government is creating a mode of public transportation, the Trans Jateng Bus. Bus performance and user satisfaction are aspects that people consider when using public transportation to carry out activities. The level of performance was conducted to this research and satisfaction of Trans Jateng Bus service users for the Bawen Terminal route to Tawang Station, Semarang. Trans Jateng is one of the public transportation operating in the Central Java region based on Bus Rapid Transit, which has its own special route, high quality and capacity with calculation of Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) as well as fast and safe service to service users based on Ministerial Regulation Number 27 2015. The method in this research is a research scale (Rating scale method) based on the 2002 Director General of Land Transportation Standards and the Customer Satisfation Index (CSI). The results of this research are performance which is classified as good for indicators of waiting time is 5.28 and 5.38 minutes, travel time is 1.42 and 1.13 hours, service time is 15.83 hours, travel speed is 25 and 31 km/h, and the average number of passengers is 3,048 and 2,317 people. Those classified as medium include the time between is 10.26 and 10.51 minutes, load factor is 80.28%, vehicle frequency is 6 vehicles/hour, and operating capacity is 80 places. The criterion that is classified as still lacking is circulation time is 175.8 minutes. The level of satisfaction of Trans Jateng Bus service users is classified as very satisfied with a score of 81.82% according to CSI data. Vehicle frequency and travel speed can be improved for the better.
