Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empiris hubungan antara interaksi sosial dengan stres pada mahasiswa baru. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan negatif antara interaksi sosial dengan stres mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa baru Unika Soegijapranata sedangkan teknik pengambilan sample yang digunakan yaitu teknik teknik insedental sampling. Jumah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 60 mahasiswa. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah skala interaksi sosial dan skala stres. Adapun metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah product moment. Hasil hipotesis menunjukkan nilai Pearson Correlation rxy = -0,651 dan nilai signifikan (p<0,01). Dari hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara interaksi sosial dengan stres dan didapatkan hasil sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh variabel interaksi sosial pada stres sebesar 42,4%.
