Abstract

Dance is a culture developed from antiquity as one of the entertainment for the palace officials, and also as a form of gratitude towards the gods that have been giving blessings to the community. Some dance movements arise from examples of natural movements such as wave movement, plants and wind movements. The movement was concluded to be a combined movement with additional songs inside. The community of dance lovers in Semarang is ranked 2 after the music art, but the container does not work as it functions, Taman Budaya Raden Saleh one of them. But the existence of the workshop, the area is Rudak, dirty open theater and merchants around the untidy make this cultural park less desirable people. This education can be made in a function of building in the form of museum as a manifestation of dance art education and performances in the form of dance Theater as a manifestation of the lack of containers that are the problem of the dance community in Semarang. The Museum has functions as a place to store collectible objects that can also be a method of learning and education for general use. The stored objects are called museum collections objects. Both statues and paintings reflect the concept of the museum. The form of museum in Semarang is very rare. By adding some attractiveness in this building is a form of response to community complaints by strengthening the function of dance museum that every day there is always activity in it without splitting the efficiency of the museum as a place to show the art of Central Java dance. By answering some of these complaints, this museum building and dance art performance will have the advantage of increasing the economy of the dance activists and the people around when there is a big event in the area. This Museum and dance art performance is at the center of Central Java that will cover some cultures in central Java.
