Abstract
Penelitian in bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empirik hubungan self-efficacy dengan self-management pada pengidap diabetes melitus tipe 2. Hipotesis penelitian terdapat hubungan positif antara self-efficacy dengan self-management diabetes tipe 2. Penelitian dilakukan dilakukan di RSUD Tugurejo dan RUMAT Tembalang, Semarang. Melibatkan 50 subjek pengidap diabetes tipe 2 yang diperoleh melalui teknik accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Diabetes Management Self-Efficacy Scale (DMSES) versi Australia/Inggris dan Skala Summary of Diabates Self-Care Activities (SDSCA)-Revised. Data dianalisa menggunakan teknik korelasi Product Moment Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara self-efficacy dengan self-management diabetes tipe 2 (rxy = 0,521, p<0,01).
