Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship among optimism and social support with resilience of People Living with HIV/AIDS. The hypothesis in this research is there is relation between optimism and social support to resilience on People Living with HIV/AIDS. The subject of this research is 40 People Living with HIV/AIDS who under the shelter of Yayasan PEKA in Central Java, Indonesia. The data collection is using three psychological scale, which are: Resilience Scale, Optimism Scale, and Social Support Scale. The result of data analysis in this research shows a very significant relation between optimism and social support to resilience on People Living with HIV/AIDS, with result R = 0,569, and F = 8,845 with p<0,01. The correlation between optimism and resilience is 0,319 with p<0,05, which means there is positive significant relation between optimism and resilience on People Livin with HIV/AIDS. The correlation between social support and resilience is 0,568 with p<0,01, which means social support and resilience on People Living with HIV/AIDS has a very positive significant relation between each other. Thus, the hypothesis in this research are accepted. Keywords: resilience, optimism, social support, People Living with HIV/AIDS
