Abstract

Tambak Lorok is a village in the coastal area of Semarang which is located on the Banger River, Tanjung Mas East Semarang district. In this area, most of people make a living as fishermen. They use marine product to fulfill their daily needs. They process it for food such as salted fish, smoked fish, shrimp paste, fish chips, nugget, fishball, etc. But based on observation, they did not make sustainable development and not able to produce the typical product that can be their own plus point for their regions. The aim of the community service program is to provide assistance to the Tambak Lorok Semarang community for developing their business through the creation of a typical product of Tambak Lorok Village. Results of these activities are that they can be motivated and aware to create a typical product for their regions, and followed the socialization of simple processing of peyek kepala udang or deepfried cracker made of shrimp head. Furthermore, it is necessary to evelop a good packaging for making this typical product.
