Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of yoga to increase joint attention in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that yoga can increase joint attention in Autism Spectrum Disorder children. The research design used was quasi-experiment in the form of The Time Series Experimental Design. The measuring instrument used in this study is Joint Attention Rating Scale which aims to determine joint attention ability, accompanied by other supporting data obtained through observation, interviews, and psychological test (Childhood Autism Rating Scale). The treatment was carried out in five meetings with a three-day intervals between meetings. Participants in this study consisted of two boys aged 8 years old and 9.5 years old, who had been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder by a psychologist, and were not undergoing other therapies related to yoga and joint attention. This study uses statistical data analysis techniques (Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Interrater Reliability), accompanied by a graph description to explain the increase in joint attention before and after a yoga treatment. The results showed an increase in joint attention of the subject after yoga. The conclusion obtained from this study is that yoga can increase joint attention in children with autism spectrum disorder. Keywords : Joint Attention, Yoga, Autism Spectrum Disorder
