Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of application of social story to improve sharing behavior in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Three children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosed were selected from prescreening process as participants. Participants were eight years old, male, and having difficulty to perform sharing behavior. Using an A-B-A design with multiple baseline across subjects, the result of this study were collected using sharing behavior checklist which filled out by raters. A trend chart analysis and statistical analysis using mann-whitney were selected to show the result of this study. Result showed a significant difference between baseline 1 and baseline 2. Therefore the finding indicate that social story is effective to improve sharing behavior in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
