Abstract
Vocabulary is very important part in teaching language. Teachers have their belief in teaching English vocabulary. Their beliefs will influence their performance in teaching. Besides, techniques are important to help teachers teach too. In collecting data about teachers‟ beliefs in techniques used, the writer administered questionnaires to all teachers in Daniel Creative School. The results of the questionnaires data analysis show the kinds of beliefs and techniques used by Daniel Creative School‟s teachers. The results show that the teachers used different beliefs and techniques in teaching English vocabulary. In collecting data, the writer modified the model of questionnaire based on Journal of Education and Learning Vol.1 (Hasankiadeh, Jahandar, & Khodabandehlou, 2012) and the questionnaires were analyzed by SPSS 20,0. The results of this study show that Function-Based Belief is the useful belief in a learning vocabulary and introducing new patterns is useful technique in teaching English vocabulary to the kindergarten pupils in Daniel Creative School.
