Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the communication process of DKK Semarang to prevent the transmission of the danger of COVID-19 to the public through Instagram. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive analysis which explains the phenomenon of the spread of COVID-19 information from DKK Semarang (Semarang Heath Service) to increase public awareness about the importance of COVID-19. Data collection methods for analysis in this study was obtained from interviews. The results of this study are in the communication process carried out by Health Service Instagram therefore the communication that occurs between the Health Service and the community takes place in two directions. The content provided by the community is communicated through a very flexible editorial selection. From the drafters, lay outers and superiors, they can be creative with each other to determine daily content. The content on the Health Service’s Instagram dealing with COVID-19 is infographic, the data that will be displayed is usually requested by the Head of Health first and there Is always a discussion. The source of data obtained by the Health Office is also purely internal because the data management including COVID-19 data is data manged by the Technology Information team and related fields.
