Abstract

Samba is a file sharing server works on Linux. Samba uses SMB (Service Message Block) protocol for shared file communicarion. The protocol is the same as SMB that is running on Windows. This means that Samba makes its file sharing can be accessed by users on Windows operating system. This project works on Linux and shares files for Windows users. The project is a bash script application with text menu for adding new users, creating a new folder, the settings for sharing data, delete user, and exit the menu. There is a setting in the function to lock the file so that only the client is shared by a password that can open the shared file.
