Abstract

“The Raven” is a lyrical poetry which paints a story of an old man wrought with his sadness for his lost love “Lenore”. It is also an expression of sea emotion over the vision of the raven haunting and taunting the man. This poetry considers how the poet’s depiction of women in literary work reflects his personal experiences with premature death of his beloved women.
