Abstract

Recently, many employees are experiencing problems related to security and the balance between work and daily life. High job demands and organizational indifference toward the wishes and happiness of employees often make employees 'overwhelmed' in dividing time between work and personal life. Many employees become 'robots' who only think about how to complete the work and get money as much as they can, without thinking whether they enjoy their work. According Bofweg (Adhikari, nd) by developing the concept of quality of working life (QWL), the opinion 'work as a commodity' will be transformed into more humane and make employees motivated to participate to make the job more enjoyable, challenging and encouraging. The quality of working life includes activities in the organization all of which are intended to improve the living conditions of employment which may encourage the spirit of the employees when performing their tasks to achieve organizational goals. The quality of working life need to be considered because it can make "work" to be more humane by creating work environment that support occupational safety and health to increase personal development. From psychologist point of view, working from the moral to be seen how people seem to enjoy it. Therefore, how to make "work" to be preferred by employees be a hot topic for discussion and human resource management need to make it as a basis for employees development.
