Abstract

Word typing leads to different meanings than what is intended because the word structure does not match any of the words in Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia. To solve this problem, an algorithm is needed that can detect errors and similarities in characters in a word. Levensthein distance and Jaro Winkler distance is an algorithm that is widely used to calculate distances between two different words. this distance is used to find out the difference in character in a word. to get the best results, an analysis of the two results of the algorithm is conducted which is more directed to the most relevant words Keyword: levensthein, jaro, distance, string similarity
