Abstract

The main purpose of this thesis is to understand the process of relating the theme of "prayer and prayer groups" and "coping stress". the theme of "prayer and prayer groups as coping stress" is relevant because it happens to many people. Research on the interactions between the theme "coping stress" with "prayer" and "prayer group" has a direction to explain the positive self-recovery condition of the individual. The results suggest that emotional management through prayer with deeper spirituality and cohesive relationships in prayer groups succeeds in coping with stress.Through case study method, this thesis tries to know deeper what kind of interaction strengthens indibvidu stress coping. Validation of data analysis is done by triangulation method of theory, data, and resource. Ultimately, this thesis shows that the reinforcement of individual stress coping requires perseverance of praying with deep spirituality, cohesive interaction with prayer groups and individual maturity to realize the Divine reality in every life event to experience efficient coping of stress.
