Abstract

This research aimed to find out whether Solution Focused Brief Therapy is able to improve the subjective well-being of children with divorced parents. The subject of this research was an 11-year old girl with divorced parents who had a low subjective well-being. The measurement of subjective well-being level was done through subjective well-being scale by the subject. This research used quantitative research using two related samples test with Wilcoxon formula. The hypothesis test result showed the value of z = -3,947 with value α = 0,000 (p<0,05), which means that there was significant improvement towards the subjective well-being after completing Solution Focused Brief Therapy. The conclusion is that Solution Focused Brief Therapy is able to improve the subjective well-being towards children with divorced parents.
