Abstract
This study aims to examine the impact of financial position, financial performance, and corporate governance to the health of companies’ finance and measure the difference of impact of financial position, financial performance, and corporate governance to the health of companies’ finance between the health companies and the distress ones. In this research, financial position measured with debt to asset ratio (DAR), dan debt to equity ratio (DER). Financial performance measured with return on asset ratio (ROA), return on equity (ROE), operating profit margin (OPM), dan net profit margin (NPM). Corporate governance measured with size of directors, size of commisioners, proportion of independent commisioners, size of independent audit committee, managerial ownership, and institusional ownership. The health of companies’ finance measured by current ratio (CR) value in companies. This research uses sample of manufacturing companies that were listing in BEI 2008-2010, and uses multiple linear regression and Z-Cramer analysis to analyze the data. The result shows that financial position has negative impact to the health of companies’ finance. On the other hand, financial performance and corporate governance have positive impact to the health companies’ finance. Other result shows that there is no significant difference impact financial position to the health of companies’ finance between the health companies and distress ones. On the other hand, significant difference financial performance and corporate governance to the health companies’ finance between the health companies and the distress companies.
