Abstract

ABSTRACT Server virtualization technology can reduce the cost of providing infrastructure and operations for each service that will be served. In addition, server virtualization allows the use of a single hardware device to run multiple operating systems at the same time. One example of server virtualization that is widely used is using proxmoxVE. Proxmox Virtual Environment(ProxmoxVE) is a virtual machine operating system that is open source / can be used freely so it can be more easily modified or developed by the user. By using proxmox users can easily control it, because the web-based proxmox interface setting as well as proxmox provide a local desktop and multiple nodes. In the node the user can install the operating system according to his needs. The result of this project is in the form of server virtualization by using promox, as well as optimizing the use of resources and sharpen the server efficiently in term of time and cost.
