Abstract

ABSTRACT Fruit maturity is determined by its characteristics. One of them is the color of the fruit. The process of identification is usually done only by observing directly the color of the fruit. The purpose of this study is identify the maturity of the tested fruit. The first process is to find the histogram values of the fruit image. Then do calculation process with Euclidean Distance method. After Euclidean Distance calculation is done, then the next process is finding the minimum value of the calculation. The study identified 21 images test consisting of 7 images at each level of maturity. The image test then compared with 30 images in the database consisting of 10 images at each level of maturity. The result of this identification is 20 images test correct and only 1 image test incorrect. Presentation of the success of this identification is 95%.
