Abstract

Development of monetary policy in Indonesia and the interrelation between the Central Bank and the government makes policy communication becomes very important. With the communication policy of the instrument and the signals will be more clearly captured by the community. Two fundamental things that can be used in the communication policy is the principles good central bank governance and knowledge based economy. The three pillars of good governance is central bank independence, accountability and transparency, as deep as policies that can be used to enhance the KBE is enhancing knowledge diffusion, upgrading human capital, and promoting organizational change. Another thing to note is the commitment and consistency of the institution to carry out their duties and responsibilities of the synergy between the central bank and the government. The last thing to do is shift the roles of agent to the growth of commercial banks to Bank Indonesia not only act as stabilizers alone but can play a greater role.
