Abstract

In the modern era like today, technological developments are increasing rapidly in all fields to facilitate human work. The food industry is one of the industrial fields that continues to follow technological developments in order to increase production capacity and the quality of the products produced. The use of sophisticated machines in the production process is one way to continue to compete with competitors amidst current technological developments. In choosing production machines that will be used in production, companies need to pay attention to the specifications of the machines and the capacity of the machines that will be used later. In addition, knowing the feasibility of the machine needs to be done in order to find out whether the machine used can still work well and meet cleanliness requirements, especially on the machines in the Soegijapranata Catholic University BSB miniplant laboratory that have not been operating for a long time. Knowing the flow rate of the machine on each production machine also needs to be done in order to increase production effectiveness, which in the Soegijapranata Catholic University BSB miniplant laboratory can be an illustration to maximize production capacity so that no production machines have a cycle time that is too far from other machines. The research focused on testing the feasibility of the machine and the flow rate capability of the production machine. The research was conducted to obtain valid results so that testing of all process conditions contained in the machine cycle time is required. The machine feasibility analysis will be tested on all machines and equipment contained in the syrup production series. In the production flow rate test, the machines tested to obtain the machine cycle time are the extractor, hopper, mixing tank, and water bath machines.
