Abstract

This study was carried out to look at the change brought about by this expanding phenomenon from conventional music production techniques to bedroom music production. The intention was to investigate how changes in social media would affect the rise in bedroom music creation. Driven by technological developments and social media, the change from conventional music production to bedroom music production has democratized music creation by increasing its accessibility and costliness. This shift enables musicians more creative flexibility and direct audience interaction, therefore promoting innovation and varied voices in the music business. It has therefore changed the way music is created, marketed, listened to, helping independent musicians and new business models to emerge. This study exposes important results using Ellie Jones's interview approach and content analysis. Social media clearly had a significant influence on bedroom music production; it not only provided a great source of inspiration and knowledge but also helped musical works be shared and fan networks to grow. This paper emphasizes the transforming power of social media in modern music production techniques, as well as its two purposes as a platform for community development inside the music business and a creative inspiration. These revelations help one to better appreciate how digital platforms are changing the terrain of music production and delivery, particularly in the intimate and easily accessible field of bedroom-studios.
