Abstract

PT HIT is a manufacturer company that creates a lot of products in audio, video, and home appliances. While PT HIT creates the products, PT SKM sells and distributes them. The problem in a company that is huge and distributed not only in domestic but also other countries as well is stock management for sales purposes. This means PT HIT warehouses and PT SKM sales department needs a way to separate or group those products into different types of stock locations or group markets, these group markets are domestic and export for PT HIT then e-commerce, traditional, and projects. Domestic means sales in Indonesia and export means sales to other countries, while e-commerce for online shops (Blibli, etc), traditional for normal sales to electronic shops, and lastly projects is for sales when there is an agreement between Polytron and other companies like Yakult (usually order showcases). Then there is this other problem where warehouse admins need to scan those products twice for a single export type shipping order. Then as a System Analysts in PT HIT, the writer is going to solve these problems by creating a webbased program called TAD or “Transfer Administrasi” for stocks in warehouses. It separates those products into different groups administratively without scanning or moving the real product within the warehouse. This program eliminates the inefficiencies in workflow of warehouses especially when there is a PO (Purchase Order) for other countries or export type order. This program updates the stock data in the database and allocates / locks the amount of products that are going to be moved to other group markets (ex. Domestic to Export). Finally this program shall make the warehouse admins scan only once per shipping order and sales department can easily monitor and manage their stocks for each group market precisely, therefore making the supply chain management more efficient.
