Abstract

This study aims to determine whether company performance has an effect on stock returns. Company performance is measured through financial ratios, including profitability ratio proxied by return on assets, liquidity ratio proxied by current ratio, solvency ratio proxied by debt to equity ratio, market ratio proxied by earnings per share, and activity ratio proxied by total asset turnover. The study uses secondary data over a period of five (5) years, focusing on food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2018–2022. The results of this research show that return on assets, debt to equity ratio, and earnings per share have a significant positive effect on stock returns, while current ratio and total asset turnover do not have a significant effect on stock returns.
