Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mencari tahu apakah terdapat hubungan antara kelekatan pada orangtua terhadap regulasi emosi mahasiswa perantau. Hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara kelekatan pada orang tua terhadap regulasi emosi pada mahasiswa perantau. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang merantau yang tengah menempuh pendidikan tinggi semester 2 hingga 6. Total subjek penelitian adalah 50 mahasiswa perantau. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) dan Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale Short Form (DERS-SF) yang sudah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan teknik analisis korelasi pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara kelekatan pada orangtua terhadap regulasi emosi mahasiswa perantau (sig. = .002, p<0.05) dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,402. Dengan demikian hipotesis pada penelitian ini diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara kelekatan orangtua terhadap regulasi emosi mahasiswa perantau.
