Abstract

A large number of Micro, Small, & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Gisikdrono who have culinary product businesses are not balanced with hygiene awareness. Hygiene is an effort to protect, maintain, pay attention to, and improve human health so that it is not easily disturbed or affected by any health problems. Demographic factors are likely to be one of the causes of this lack of awareness. In this regard, Soegijapranata Catholic University's Dedication Team is needed to conduct training on hygiene. This devotion activity was synergized with the Unika Soegijapranata Business Work Program or Kuliah Kerja Usaha (KKU) for the period May - July 2018. The training methods used were lectures and workshops as well as evaluation of hygiene implementation. The evaluation of the success of this training was based on an indicator of MSME's hygienic behaviour towards culinary product processing. The method used for training evaluation is a behavioural checklist. Training and evaluation of food and culinary products hygiene in the Gisikdrono were conducted for approximately two weeks. Evaluation results showed that MSME’s hygienic behaviour was improved after training.
