Abstract

One way to grow students' interest in learning English is by using technology. One of which is a film. A film is a medium for learning. The purpose of this study was to see students' attitudes towards the use of films in learning English. Quantitative and qualitative methods are used to answer the problem formulation in this study. The author distributed questionnaires to 156 respondents from 11th-grade high school students. The author also interviewed 10 interviewees from 11th-grade high school students. The overall result is the attitude shown by students is positive. Students have positive attitudes in using films to learn English. They get many benefits from watching movies, such as sharpening their listening skills and adding vocabularies
