Abstract

As an area that is targeted to become a world heritage city, Kota Lama has an interesting history related to the development of the City of Semarang, as well as stories that grow with buildings with Dutch East Indies architecture in the region[3]. Virtual Reality is a technology that can be used as means of simulations. The environment in Virtual Reality is computer-generated and can be explored interactively[5]. Users can interact with objects in the virtual world to gain information or education. With the utilization of Virtual Reality technology, the game entitled "Jelajah Kota Lama" is developed to educate user on Kawasan Kota Lama. Filled with informative missions and puzzles, this game will present an experience of exploring Kawasan Kota Lama via virtual study-tour. The result of the test on 56 respondents shows that their decision to play this game stems from factors such as ease of playing, social influence, facilitating conditions, and the enjoyment they felt when playing the game.
