Abstract
The Child and Youth Social Service Institution "Wira Adhi Karya" is a home whose services are used to help Persons with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) in parenting, treatment and protection to enable a person with social welfare problems to get fulfillment of their basic needs and ensure their survival. The name for children here is the beneficiary, and the title of the teacher here is the coach or mentor. Communication used in this institution is interpersonal communication as a method of coaching. This study uses qualitative research methods according to Bogdan and Taylor. Where this study describes about interpersonal communication who used in the coaching process between coaches and beneficiaries in the home of Wira Adhi Karya Ungaran. The population used in this study were all people who were in the Wira Adhi Karya institution. The samples in this study were 10 coaches and 10 beneficiaries. The results of this study are the coaching process divided become two, that is the process of coaching in the classroom and the coaching process in the dormitory. During the coaching process, the coach uses lectures, assignments, class discussions, games, use of examples and non-verbal communication as coaching method in the classroom. During the coaching process, coaches and beneficaries had a problems in communication process, that is the language that difficult to understand beetwen coaches and beneficaries, and the shame of the beneficiaries to be opened to friends and coaches. That problem can be handle with trying to respon each other, and coaches wants to learn phsycology from the beneficaries, so the beneficaries can open theirself.
