Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ethical principles namely idealism and relativism and fraud triangle namely Opportunity, Pressure, Rationalization of academic fraudulent behavior using information technology to Accounting students and Informatics Engineering students at Soegijapranata Catholic University Semarang. In this study using a total sample of 305 respondents. The data collection technique in this study is by using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this study uses the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) model. The results of this study are that pressure has a positive effect on academic fraudulent behavior using information technology, Opportunity has a positive effect on academic cheating behavior using information technology, idealism does not affect academic fraudulent behavior using information technology, relatvism has a positive effect on academic fraudulent behavior using information technology, Rationalization has a positive effect on academic fraudulent behavior using information technology.
