Abstract
Miley Cyrus is one of the most female pop singers in the world. She is very phenomenal in music industry because of the transformation of her appearance. People know her typical appearance when she took a role in Hannah Montana the series. However, she started to change her appearance when she released her first album after Hannah Montana stopped showing. She appears in many ways which connect to the Girl Power presented in Wrecking Ball music videos. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Girl Power aspects of Miley Cyrus‟ appearance in Wrecking Ball music video. The writer finds that Miley Cyrus wants to emphasize women‟s equality to men, power, domination, freedom, self-expression, and confidence through this music video. She expresses the emphasis through the way she acts in front of the camera, dresses like a man, gives the idea to the music video, and applies many things to her body. In this music video, she also exposes her identity in a feminine and masculine ways, yet still appears powerful.
