Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of existential intelligence, personality and self-determined motivation on pro environmental behavior among students in Adiwiyata schools. This study also analyzed the variables of planned behavior in the form of attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavior control and intentions as intervening variables. Respondents are high school students in Semarang City class XII from adiwiyata schools amounting to 866. Data in the form of a questionnaire was taken in March-April 2021 using a google form. Data analysis using AMOS SEM, result for Adiwiyata schools show that existential intelligence and self-determined motivation have a significant positive effect on pro environmental behavior. Personality with extrovert intuitive thinking judging (ENTJ), extrovert intuitive feeling perceiving (ENFP), extrovert sensing feeling perceiving (ESFP), introvert sensing thinking judging (ISTJ) and introvert intuitive feeling perceiving (INFP) have a significant positive effect on pro environmental behavior. Attitudes, subjective norms (SN), and perceived behavioral control (PBC) have a significant positive effect in mediating existential intelligence, selfdetermined motivation and personality of ENFP, ESFP, ISTJ and INFP on pro environmental behavior. Meanwhile, SN does not have a significant effect in mediating the personality of the ENTJ. Intention has a significant positive effect in mediating subjective norms and perceived behavioral control on pro environmental behavior.But Intention has a significant negative effect in mediating attitude on pro environmental behavior.
