Abstract
Competencies possessed by an employee can be a guide for the company to know the extent to which it is able to present itself and provide optimal work results for the company. Employees who have the ability, knowledge, and work attitude in accordance with the prescribed standards, this competence must be legally recognized through participation in Competency Certification activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the PO Hotel Semarang Employee Competence Perception and to find out the PO Hotel Semarang Employee Perceptions of GNIK (Competent Indonesian National Movement). The population in this study were employees of PO Hotel Semarang, which is located in the Front Office, House Keeping, Food and Beverage section, with a total of 146 employees. The method of determining the sample using a purposive sampling method, with several predetermined criteria, the number of samples is 22 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the level of knowledge of PO Hotel employees towards competency certification is quite high. The results of the study also showed that PO Hotel employees did not know about LSP (Competency Certification Agency) and TUK (Competency Test Place). And the knowledge of PO Hotel employees towards GNIK (Competent Indonesian National Movement) is quite high and employees, too, will be involved if GNIK is in a certain job position.
