Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of emotional management training on decreasing work stress in the inpatient nurses at RSUD.Undata Central Sulawesi. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that emotional management training effectively reduces the stress of occupational nurses. The number of research subjects was 22 people. Subjects were given training for 6 hours per day, for two days. The method used a quasi-experimental research design with Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. The level of work stress is measured based on the work stress scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The technique used for data analysis is Independent Samples t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, obtained a value of t = 5.818 df2 with p = 0,000 with a mean pretest score of 63.81 and the mean posttest score of 55.23, indicating there were significant stress score differences between pretest and posttest, so emotional management training effectively reduced work stress inpatient nurse. In conclusion, emotional management training is effective in reducing the stress of nurse work. Nurse work stress is lower than before training. Thus, the hypothesis in this study is accepted.
