Abstract
The film Seven presents the story of a serial killer who takes lives of victims by making use of seven deadly sins as motives of murdering. He tortures the victims until they die as the punishment of the sins the victims do. The killer believes that he is chosen by a higher power to kill people who are against Christian morality or Bible. The writer uses the natural law approach from Thomas Aquinas to analyze the killing and the reasons of the murdering in the movie. From the analysis, the writer finds out those seven deadly sins: gluttony, greed, sloth, lust, pride, envy, and wrath, are the capital sins that can stir another sin; these sins are used to show the limitations of human behavior by explaining what will displease God.
