Abstract
The Hound of the Baskervilles is a detective story which is written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It was ever serialized in the Strand Magazine in 1901 and 1902. It is a story about the curse in the Baskervilles family and the curse becomes a real thing because the murder uses it to claim the Baskervilles’ property and wealth. The crime in the detective story usually uses the weird ways and the police can’t solve it. That’s why the police uses the detective to solve the crime and the mysteries around it because he uses the knowledge to find the clues and also the investigation to solve it. To analyze what kind of crime which happens in the story; what kind of person Sherlock Holmes is; and how Sherlock Holmes solves the crime the writer uses the theory from John G.
