Abstract

This research aims at investigating the kinds of apology strategies between Indonesian English Teachers and Australian Native Speakers in expressing regret and investigating the differences in using apology strategies between Indonesian English Teachers and Australian Native Speakers in expressing regret. Every person has different strategies to express their regret. The writer used 10 items questionnaire based on Bergman & Kasper’s (1993) that consist of 10 different social situations of varying severity of offense.
