Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to explore the structural and functional aspects of social relations in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research design uses an exploratory study. Data collection instruments used social relations questionnaires and interviews. The number of respondents was 54 people. Sampling used accidental sampling. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics. The results of data analysis show that the structural aspects of social relationships (social networks) that are considered important in the Covid-19 pandemic era are family, neighbors, co-workers, school or college friends and friends. Respondents had ≥ 3 social networks as many as 48 (88.9%) people. Respondents have ≤ 2 social networks as many as 6 (11.1%) people. The functional aspect of social relations in the Covid-19 pandemic era is a source of social support; emotional or caring support, informational support, and instrumental support; friendship, and social control.
