Abstract
Over the years, the world of work is getting more competitive. One of the ways universities prepare their students to face the work competition is by conducting internship programs. The writer decided to apply for an internship program at Hotel Griptha since he wants to obtain experience working in a significant company. The writer receives an opportunity to participate in PT Griptha Putra Persada's internship program for six months, from August 1 to January 31, 2024. The writer chose the Griptha Hotel, which is in the hospitality business. The writer is assigned to the Food and Beverage department, where he will perform the duties and responsibilities of an area supervisor and employee. During the internship program, writers who have studied distribution and human resource theory in class can apply these theories and skills immediately in their work. For example, the writer inspects the distribution of supplies between suppliers and buyers while checking arriving food ingredients and submitting requests for food ingredients. Aside from that, the writer can use theories learned in human resource courses to monitor overall staff performance. Furthermore, the writer obtained much knowledge and experience interacting in a work atmosphere that differs significantly from a college environment.
