Abstract
This study examined the correlation between personality and academic achievement of English learners. This study aims to know the correlation between personality and academic (Grade Point Average) and to know lo what extent student personality affects English students' academic achievement. The quantitative method was used to address the problem formulations in this study. The writer distributed an online questionnaire to 120 respondents from batch 2014 to 2016 in Faculty or Language and Arts Socgijapranata Catholic Umversit crnurang. The first problem formulation used Chi-square test and regression analysis is used to answer the second problem formulation in this study. Th re ·ult of the study proves that the correlation is 0,338 which mean there is a cuk correlation between the Eng li sh department students' personality and their academic achievement in l ingl ish study program. In addition, only a few numbers the existence yJ a student personality affects academic achievement in 1-nglish Department The writer e: peeled that some people will <lo further research about the correlation between Lngf ish department students' personality and their academic achievement. 'l he writer would like to suggest that other rcscar hers should conduct an in-depth study on the related topic hat has not been thoroughly studied.
