Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan secara empiris antara harga diri dengan perilaku merokok pada remaja. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah ada hubungan yang negatif antara harga diri dengan perilaku merokok pada remaja. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 71 orang remaja di Kota Semarang berusia 15-18 tahun yang merokok. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Skala Perilaku Merokok dan Skala Harga Diri. Hasil analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment yang memperoleh nilai koefisien rxy = -0,064 dengan p = 0,599. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan ditolak karena tidak ada hubungan antara harga diri dengan perilaku merokok pada remaja.
